The DUALhybrid system

Screen your protein of interest with the most advanced yeast two-hybrid system available!

The yeast two-hybrid system is the most widely used system to identify novel protein-protein interactions. The yeast two-hybrid system is easy to use, versatile, and allows the identification of novel protein interactions through cDNA library screening.

Advantages of the yeast two-hybrid system

  • Detects interactions in an in vivo setting - no need for extensive optimization of binding conditions, no in vitro artifacts
  • Quicker and easier to use than biochemical methods
  • Discover novel binding partners of your protein of interest through cDNA library screening
  • Most protein-protein interactions reported in the scientifc literature have been identified using the yeast two-hybrid system

The DUALhybrid kit

The DUALhybrid kit uses the yeast two-hybrid system and introduces a number of improvements and optimizations:

  • Two bait vectors (pLexA-N and pLexA-C) for optimal flexibility when cloning your bait
  • pY3H vector to identify multimeric interactions
  • Stringent NMY51 reporter strain greatly reduces false positives
  • Optimized protocols to help you get started quickly
  • Compatible with MATCHMAKER libraries (Takara Bio / Clontech)
