The DUALhunter system

Find novel interaction partners for transcriptionally active proteins!

With the DUALhunter kit you can screen full-length soluble (cytosolic or nuclear) proteins against a cDNA library of your choice to identify novel interaction partners of your protein of interest.

Unlike the yeast two-hybrid system, where interactions are detected in the nucleus and transcriptionally active proteins often cause problems such as self-activation, the DUALhunter system takes advantage of a small membrane anchor to immobilize a soluble protein at the membrane.

The DUALhunter system can be used to:

  • Detect interactions between transcriptionally active proteins
  • Detect interactions between proteins which are self-activating in a classical yeast two-hybrid system
  • Identify novel protein interactions by screening your protein of interest against a cDNA library

The DUALhunter system is fully compatible with all DUALmembrane cDNA libraries.
